Magnetic Absolute Draw Wire — Up to 40,000 mm, IP67
The AWP 740 is the longest-range magnetic absolute draw wire sensor in the AWP family, covering strokes up to 40 metres. Designed for large-scale applications such as dam sluice gates, large crane systems, and storage automation. The absolute magnetic principle retains position on power loss.
Up to 40,000 mm (40 m) stroke — longest range in the AWP family, for large-scale infrastructure
Magnetic absolute measuring — retains position on power loss, no battery backup required
IP67 protection — full dust exclusion and immersion protection for outdoor environments
Programmable analog or CANopen output — integrates into any SCADA or control system
Stainless steel wire — corrosion resistant for outdoor and marine environments
For large-scale industrial and infrastructure applications — dam gates, harbour equipment, large cranes
| Stroke Length | Up to 40,000 mm (40 m) |
| Measuring Type | Magnetic Absolute |
| Output | Analog (programmable) or CANopen |
| IP Rating | IP67 |
| Measuring Wire | Stainless steel |
| Battery Backup | Not required |
| Operating Temperature | −25°C to +85°C |
| Analog (programmable) | Voltage or current output, programmable span and zero |
| CANopen | Fieldbus digital output per CiA 406 profile |
At 40 m stroke, the programmable analog output allows the user to precisely match the electrical span to the physical travel range. CANopen integration enables the sensor to connect directly to infrastructure SCADA networks or machine fieldbuses.
Large-body IP67 aluminium housing, cable or M12 connector exit
